Research on Newly Qualified Pluralistic Counsellors and Psychotherapists, by Wendy Stone

University of Wolverhampton

Online

I would like to invite you to participate in the research project I am conducting as part of my integrative counselling and psychotherapy degree at the University of Wolverhampton. The project is titled ‘A Qualitative Exploration of the Experiences of Newly Qualified Pluralistic Counsellors and Psychotherapists’. Thus, I am looking to recruit newly qualified therapists who practise within a pluralistic framework to be interviewed on how they experience and make sense of their early career professional practice as pluralistic therapists. This research hopes to contribute to the field of pluralistic counselling and psychotherapy by understanding the experiences of pluralistic practitioners, particularly the unique set of challenges they encounter during the early career stage and, in so doing, to help education providers better prepare trainees for the realities of the workplace, and to assist line managers and clinical supervisors to support recent graduates through this critical transitional period. If you wish to take part in this study, you’ll be invited to an interview held remotely via either Microsoft Teams or Zoom. The interview will last between 60 and 90 minutes. To take part, please click on the link below, this will take you to the information sheet, to get you started. Thank you
