Bereaved parents often tell Sands how valuable counselling is following a miscarriage, pregnancy loss or the death of a baby. Every day in the UK, 13 babies die shortly before, during or soon after birth. At least 1 in 6 of pregnancies end in miscarriage.

Course Aims
• To provide insight into clients’ experience of loss
• To develop a holistic understanding of families’ therapeutic needs
• To promote the therapeutic skills and approaches needed

Course Details
• 16 hours (12 online teaching, 4 self-study)
• Delivered by a specialist trainer with experience supporting bereaved people in a therapeutic setting
• You’ll receive a 16-hour CPD certificate and a Sands logo/statement for your professional pages
• Endorsed by CPCAB
• Suitable for qualified and student counsellors/therapists
